Ralphie [ADOPTED DECEMBER 1] is a ten year old, buff Cocker who is neutered, heartworm tested and up to date on his shots. He came to us from a shelter in Kenosha where he was deserted by his family to die in the hands of strangers. One of our volunteers came upon him and decided she could not leave him there. He is a large Cocker who was allowed to become obesely overweight by the same people who dumped him there. He is crate trained and goes potty when taken out, but will have a very occasional accident if he doesn't get out often enough. He gets along well with other dogs and is friendly with people. He has a slight limp from the weight of his 58 pound (almost double his perfect weight) body on his old bones, but we have already seen some improvement in his gait since losing five pounds upon coming into rescue. He loves to go for walks and he loves rawhide chews. We are hopeful that some kind person will care to share their home and their love with this deserving boy for his remaining years.
