Bailey [ADOPTED JULY 27] is either a Golden Retriever or Cocker mix. He caught our intake volunteer in a weak moment. He was in a very high kill shelter and she could not leave him behind. You can't help but fall for those pleading eyes and the wagging tail. He is just asking for a chance. He is approximately one year old. His family adopted him as a puppy but now that he is older, they don't want him anymore. Bailey is extremely friendly and does well with other animals. He was in a home with children. Bailey is crate trained and is working on housetraining. He will be bigger than a Cocker probably maturing at just under 40 lbs.
Update from Bailey's New Mom: "Just thought you might like to know that Bailey is settling in nicely. He is such a sweet dog! The cat is a bit put out, but I am making sure that he doesn't chase her, and she is venturing out of her hidey hole to growl and hiss at him from high places. We started an obedience class this morning. He was really barky, but not aggressive. Tell your intake volunteer that I sure am glad she rescued him!"
