Clyde [ADOPTED NOVEMBER 29] is a 3 year old, chocolate/white male who came to us from an animal control facility in Illinois. Clyde was a very lucky boy because he found an angel among the animal control staff. The facility does not do adoptions of unclaimed animals. After seven days he would have been euthanized. On the third day we received a call from the staff member advising us of Clyde's plight. She kept in constant touch to be sure that he would be saved. We in rescue owe a debt to these people who are on the front lines seeing the tragedy of animal overpopulation daily. Because they care, hundreds of animals are saved that otherwise might not be.

As you can see Clyde did not starve during his 7 day stay. At 39lbs, he is at least 9 lbs. overweight. His new family must agree to cut down his weight. He is a sweet dog with a very good temperament. He gets along well with other dogs and cats, but would probably not do well with a real dominant dog.
