Jackson [ADOPTED FEBRUARY 8] is a 5 year old, black Cocker who is neutered and up to date on his shots. He came to us from a private party who surrendered him and his brother due to their decision to adopt human children. He is good for grooming and has a nice temperament. He is good with children and is housetrained and crate trained but reportedly has had some accidents since the children were adopted. He gets along well with other dogs. He will need professional grooming every six to eight weeks as he is a show type Cocker. We are seeking a forever home for him with a family who will carefully monitor his food intake as he is a bit of a chow hound and would eat himself to death if allowed to. He is about five pounds overweight right now at 32 pounds. His surrendering family indicates that he has had a few seizures that their vet elected not to have him put on anti-seizure medication due to the infrequency. His former owner did take him to obedience class and while he was not a top scholar, he will sit nicely for a treat and seems to be a pretty good boy to me.
