Kiwi [ADOPTED JULY 27] is a red female who is 18 months old. She came from a shelter in Wisconsin. She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm free and up-to-date on shots. She is field coated so will not require much grooming. She is barky and intimidating with people for the first half an hour or so and then is fine and totally nonaggressive. She must have been an outside dog as she seems to have little to no knowledge at this point of housetraining. We are working with her. More information as we get to know her.
Update from Kiwi's New Family: "Thank you for the history and other information. No accidents in the house yet! She's doing her duty in the back yard. She is a wonderful cuddler -- just what I needed. She ate almost all of her food this morning. She is definitely enjoying herself here and will receive all the special attention she needs, and more. All's well.
She is so adorable it is hard to believe anyone would let her go. I do wonder what her first home was like. One thing is certain, she has received enough loving in her short life to make her sweet and affectionate. She doesn't want me out of her sight, but after she knows I won't disappear for long I think she will relax a bit.
Again, thank you to you -- and all the other rescue volunteers who have helped Kiwi. I'll keep you informed on how things are going."
