Mitzi [ADOPTED NOVEMBER 28] is one of a group of dogs rescued from the horrors of a puppy mill. She is 6 years old and probably had two litters a year for most of her life. She was extremely shy when coming into rescue. She is now quite outgoing unless you want to take her picture. Mitzi does well with other dogs but will growl at the biggest dog she finds at the vet's office. Poor Mitzi, no one told her she only weighs 15 pounds. She is crate trained and doing very well on her housetraining. Because of her shyness I would not recommend her for a home with children. She also should have a fenced yard. We would very much like to see Mitzi go to a home that feeds a raw diet. Her skin is quite itchy which is probably the result of the low quality food fed in the mill.
