Moses [ADOPTED JULY 22] is a very sweet 3-4 year old buff/white male cocker who has not had an easy life. He was originally surrendered by an elderly man to a Wisconsin shelter. After we brought him into rescue, it was believed that there was a history of abuse. One of our dedicated volunteers worked several months rehabilitating Moses. He has come so far!! He was then adopted by a woman that loved him but after a year was unable to keep him due to long work hours... At any rate, he is now back in rescue. He loves people and attention. He is very smart and playful and will fetch a ball for hours. He absolutely LOVES stuffed animals! He walks well on a leash and is well behaved in the car. He came back in quite overweight and his current foster family is working hard to get him back into shape.

Moses is neutered, current on all vaccinations, and heartworm negative. He does have some "reminders" of his previous life and so we are looking for a family that is understanding to his needs. Once you know Moses, you can't help but love him. He is completely crate trained and housetrained letting you know when he needs to go out. He feels secure in his crate and we would recommend that he have one in his new home. He is very good with his foster brother and sister. He is great with cats. Slow introductions are best with new dogs as he can be intimidated at first. Moses is very lovable and is just looking for a little acceptance, understanding, and love. His foster family adores him and will miss him very much.
