Abby [ADOPTED MAY 23] is an almost 7 year old female that came from a shelter in Wisconsin. Abby is a very nice girl, but is a bit unsure of herself. She can also be a bit of a stubborn girl. Abby gets along well with calmer dogs and because of her insecurities we feel that she would do better in a home with older children. Abby is spayed, heartworm negative, and current on vaccinations. She is also housetrained and knows basic commands. We will provide more information as we get to know this girl beter.

Update from Abby's Foster Family: Abby is doing great in her foster home. She is a very easy dog to have around and is a very good girl. She has begun to come out of her shell and the longer she is with us, the more comfortable she is. She is good in her crate and is totally housetrained letting us know when she needs to go outside. She loves food and so her new family will have to commit to keeping her weight where it should be. She is very good at the dog park and is so friendly with every person and dog she meets! They even comment on how happy she looks! She prefers to sleep at the foot of the human bed, one of her favorite places to be. She is smart and has easily caught on to our routine. She doesn't care to be picked up but will let you if you are slow in doing so. She does fine with cats. It will be sad to see her leave us, but we know she will make someone a wonderful companion!
