Kalli [ADOPTED APRIL 15] is a 4-5 year old, red/white female who is spayed, heartworm tested, microchipped and up to date on shots. She came to the rescue from a shelter in Illinois. She is cratetrained (she sleeps and eats in her crate) and is working on her housetraining. As she is field coated, she will not require a lot of grooming. She is also very active and puppylike. We think she would be too active for young children.

Her foster family describes her as quite a character, especially when she plays with her toys and growls and shakes them. She enjoys sitting in your lap and being petted. She is good with dogs she knows, but is sometimes wary of large dogs when she's in a new situation. Ideally she should go to a one dog home. She is not good with cats. She is very sweet, but because she is on the dominant side, requires an experienced dog owner.
