Lester [ADOPTED JUNE 6] is a 4-5 year old male who came to us from a shelter in southeastern Wisconsin. He came in as a stray. While at the shelter he would bark at anyone who looked into his cage. The shelter felt that he was doing so poorly, they would need to send him to rescue. This dog is not dumb. Why would any dog want to be confined to a wire cage when he can lounge in the grass or on the sofa. In the short time we have had Lester, we find that he is housetrained and gets along well with other dogs. The same cannot be said about cats. He is a little on the pudgy side so he could use some long walks. He walks well on a leash so he must have some experience. He does not like to tied up so I would not put him in a home that would rely on a tie out as a way to confine him. He will need either a fenced yard or someone who will walk him. Lester is a very happy boy who really enjoys life.
