Clayton [ADOPTED MARCH 20] came to us via Animal Control when his elderly owner passed away. He is approximately 5-6 years old and had to have his coat shaved off as he was totally matted. It seems that he must have been an only dog as he will guard his food, toys and crate against other dogs. He must not have been raised with cats either as he will try to chase them. He is light buff in color, more show coated, and will need regular grooming which he has been very good for so far. He is a bit overweight and will need a home that will monitor his diet. He loves people, toys and play. He is crate trained and has been very good at his housetraining since being in foster care. He is current on his distemper booster, but will be going in shortly to update his rabies, heartworm test, and microchipping. He came to us neutered. He is seeking a home as an only dog with possibly an adult owner (or two) of his own as he was used to before. Clayton has a big heart and loves every person he meets.
