Daphne [ADOPTED APRIL 20] is a 5 year old female who was given away by her original owner. She was given to a couple who had a large Akita and Daphne was very upset and uncomfortable in her new home and suffered with separation anxiety. Her second home reported that she howled, barked, was not housebroken and was digging at the carpeting. In her foster home, she does bark a bit, but settles down with her foster siblings as they seem to calm her nerves. None of the other reported behaviors have been seen. She is looking for a home who will love her and help her through this transition. She would like someone who would be home most of the time with her. She will tolerate a crate, but needs some comfort items in the crate with her. She likes a soft blanket, an old T-shirt that her owner has slept in and a stuffed toy to lay on. She comes when called and just seems sad that she had to be turned over to rescue. She will be spayed shortly and brought up to date on her vaccinations and heartworm testing. She will also be microchipped as all of our dogs are. Daphne is a smaller, red colored Cocker who loves to be held and cuddled. She has not shown any interest in cats, birds or small animals, but will bark at the other dogs from her crate. She is looking for a home where she will be loved and taken care of for the rest of her life. She needs some serious tender loving care to help her over the past few months of transition in her life.
