Lance [ADOPTED FEBRUARY 27] is a 3-4 month old chocolate and tan, show coated Cocker pup. Lance was turned over to us by another rescue group. For lack of a better name, the other rescue group had dubbed him "Joe Cocker". The volunteer who picked him up then took his name one step further and named him after her nephew who is currently serving in Iraq as a Lance Corporal in the Marines. Lance is a very well marked chocolate and tan boy who looks to have some show breeding behind him. He has a show type head and body. Due to his show coat, he will need professional grooming at least every 6-8 weeks. He is crate trained and working on his house training skills. He is neutered and current on his distemper booster.

Update from Lance's Forever Mom: I don't know how this wonderful, sweet, little guy ended up in Rescue, but I'm sure glad that he did!!! He's been so good from the get go and except for the normal puppy trait of wanting to chew things like shoes, he's been absolutely perfect! He's such a very smart boy packed full of charm and personality. He is now known as Riley and he joined our home consisting of three other Cockers, two of which were adopted through Shorewood just a year before him. Riley did very well in his Canine Good Citizenship class and I'm seriously considering doing training with him to become a therapy dog. He has an outstanding temperament and just loves everyone. A huge Thank You to all who played a role in getting him to us. Needless to say, we just love him to pieces!!!
