Roxy [ADOPTED NOVEMBER 19] is a two year old female who was surrendered to a shelter because her owners were divorcing. She was in such a horrible matted condition that the shelter felt it was best to turn her over to rescue. She is a sweet happy little girl who is housetrained and is becoming adjusted to crating. We were forced to shave off her coat because the mats were to the skin and I am sure quite painful. She will be a beautiful girl when her hair grows back. She enjoys running in the yard now that she has lost about ten pounds of mats. She is good with other animals but has never been exposed to children. Roxy needs a family who understands the maintenance and beauty of a Cocker coat. She is a bit of a princess and wants to look her very best.
