Simba [ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 3] lost his home at the age of ten. He lost his home at the same time that his only friend in the world lost hers. His owner's home was foreclosed on and she had no where to go with Simba. He was sent to Animal Control where adoption was not an option. His owner was devastated. Lucky for Simba there is an angel at that Animal Control Facility. She contacted rescue and asked if we could find it in our heart to take a ten year old. In this day and age when so many people turn their back on old dogs we knew he would not be an easy placement. Shorewood Cocker Rescue has been fortunate in that over the years we have had many adopters who have hearts big enough to take the old or the imperfect. I know for them this has been a rewarding experience. In the words of Sydney Jeanne Sevard " Blessed is the person who has earned the love of an old dog". Simba is not ready to be passed by. He loves to walk and play. He is really looking for someone who can keep up with him.
