Lena [ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 16] is a senior female who came to us from a shelter. They knew she was a very sweet dog and definitely worth saving but they did not have the means to take care of her medical needs.

They contacted Shorewood Cocker Rescue. We have our Wiggelbutt Walk every year to raise the needed funds to help dogs like Lena. We first did a much needed dental and removed a growth by her anal gland. I knew she had to feel much better after that. She then made a trip to the groomer and our Lena is a new dog. She now has a spring in her step and is ready to get along with the rest of her life. Lena is deaf but she does not feel that is a handicap and neither do we. She is housetrained and crate trained and is just a pleasure to be around. We will be working on teaching her some hand signals.
