Leroy [ADOPTED NOVEMBER 15] is a 2 - 3 year old, buff and white male who is very lucky to be alive today. You see, Shorewood was made aware of a shelter in Wisconsin where the doors were closing at the end of that work day. Any animal remaining at the shelter at that time would be put down. One of our volunteers immediately took off to get Leroy out of there and arrived just 2 hours before the doors were to be closed. We're so glad that Leroy was one of the lucky ones to avoid that fate.
Leroy is a very quiet boy with a very playful personality. He can be shy at times and is a little skiddish of loud noises when going on walks outside. He just needs to get out and about more frequently to expand his social skills. Leroy is good with the other Cockers and cats in his foster home, but he can be a bit protective of his toys and/or his food. He is working hard on perfecting his housetraining and will need continued work in this area. He is crate trained and is good in his crate, but prefers to be where his people are when they are home. He loves to follow his foster mom around. Sitting on a lap and being cuddled are some of his favorite things to do. He's such a loving young guy who deserves a wonderful family.
