Mickey [ADOPTED FEBRUARY 1] is lucky to be alive. His former owners moved and left him behind. He ended up in an Animal Control facility in Southern Illinois with a 99% euthanasia rate. A fellow rescuer found him there and contacted Shorewood Cocker Rescue. With the help of other friends from the rescue community we were able to get Mickey a bit closer to Wisconsin so that we could pick him up. He is 1-2 years old and will be a very pretty boy once his coat grows in. After a trip to the vet, it seems the only dogs he gets along with are Cockers. He is crate trained and we are evaluating his housetraining.
