Simon [ADOPTED JUNE 2] is approximately 2 years old. He came to Shorewood through an organization that does cat rescue. One of their volunteers found him and could not locate the owner. He was filthy and matted and had a cherry eye. He was such a sweet boy. She did not want to take him to the local shelter because the way he looked she felt he did not have a chance at adoption. Shorewood was contacted and we agreed to take him. The volunteer not only agreed to drive him many miles but also had him groomed. Unfortunately he had to be shaved down because of all the mats. When his hair grows back, he will be a very handsome boy. Simon has now been neutered, updated on his shots, is heartworm negative and has had cherry eye surgery. He is doing well in his foster home having already learned to use the doggie door to go outside. His foster mom says Simon has a great temperament. He has already learned a few basic commands.
