Midnight [ADOPTED MAY 9] is a 3-year-old, black and tan female who is a survivor of the Iowa flooding during this past summer. She spent several months fending for herself along with her friend Princess081. The two girls were finally trapped in an Iowa barn. Their owners were tracked down and contacted but they did not want them back. Princess has found her forever home. Midnight has been through so much that she also deserves a happy ending.

She gets along well with other dogs, is crate trained, and is working on her housetraining. Midnight may NOT go to a home with cats.

Update from Midnight's Foster Home: Midnight has been with me for a week now and appears to be housetrained. She loves to play ball and wrestle with me. She hasn't gotten the concept of bringing the ball back to me yet. She loves to run around the back yard. She is equally willing to sleep at night in a crate or in her foster Mom's bed. She has a beautiful silky coat which is going to look even better as it grows. Midnight knows "sit", "stay" and "no". Although shy initially with a new person, Midnight gets quickly attached to the person in her house and attempts to prevent other dogs from getting near her person. She will need to learn to "share" a bit better. When all of the dogs are left alone while I'm at work, all is fine.
