Betsy [Adopted 9/10/2011] is a petite chocolate (with a few scattered white markings) cutie estimated to be about two years old. She and two males had been wandering in a Tennessee neighborhood for about five months when a caring woman started giving them food and opened her garage to provide them shelter. A puppy mill is located in this area and there’s a strong possibility Betsy might have been used as a breeding dog.
This little pup was quite frightened when she came into rescue but has come a long way in the past three weeks. Although initially shy, with a little time and patience, she’ll come around and become your best friend. Just recently she has started showing her lovable and playful side and no doubt her best has yet to come. She gets along well with her foster brother and sister and would enjoy the company of at least one other pup in her forever home.
She is doing well with her housetraining, is crate trained and is only being crated at night. Although she likes hard chew toys, she especially loves durable balls and would love a forever home willing to play ball with her. Because she is easily frightened, Betsy will require a fenced yard.
