Rebecca 111 (Becca) [Adopted 10/23/2011is a beautiful, 3 year old sweetheart who is ready for her new forever home. She came to us from a shelter in IL . Shorewood has given her a much needed dental. When Rebecca came to us she had an eye injury. A decision was made to remove her eye to avoid any future possibility of glaucoma. She is still quick on her feet and ready to play if you are. She would love another canine playmate in her life, but would settle in just as easily being the princess. She is crate trained and house trained. Becca loves her toys, especially the really LOUD, SQUEAKY ones!! She is current on her shots, microchipped and ready to be your girl. She is pretty good on a leash, but could use some refresher lessons, and does know sit. Becca is very food motivated, so an obedience class would be the perfect opportunity for her to show everyone how smart she is and will create a bonding experience for a lifetime.
Foster Home Update 10/17/11
Becca is doing quite well in her foster home. While it has taken her a little while to settle in, she in now feeling like part of the family; she knows and follows the routine, is playful with her toys and with the other dogs, understands what is her food and what is not, greets us excitedly when we come home, and is letting us know when she has to go out. She is a joy to have around! Becca comes when called, will sit when asked, and readily goes to her crate at night and when we leave the house. The only time that we notice that she is making any accommodations for her one eye is when we are walking. Then, she prefers to walk closer to me or to another of our dogs, which isn't negative at all! Becca really enjoys walking and playing outside. She is a happy, active dog who would be fine with other dogs or by herself in her forever home.
