Glenda 121

Glenda [Adopted 2/8/2012] is a 2-3 year old red female who came to us through a shelter in southern Illinois. When she first arrived she wasn't very energetic, but boy has that changed. With twice a day walks she has slimmed down and toned up. At first she didn't have the strength to get up on a bed, but now she leaps into the bed as she runs into the room. It is a joy to watch her. She is very well mannered on a leash, sits to have the leash put on patiently and is excellent in the car. She was a little skittish when she first arrived, possibly from abuse in her previous setting, but is getting better every day. Glenda is house and crate trained already. She understands sit, stay and no, but like most young dogs does choose to ignore no on occasions. As with all young she likes to chew and is very good at it, so we give her rawhides daily while she learns what is hers to chew on. She is very affectionate, likes to be with you, and will make a great companion
