Harvey [Adopted 6/28/2013] is an approximately 8 yr old black and white male that came to us from an inner city shelter, as a stray. He is pretty laid back, loves to snuggle and just be by his humans. He was horribly matted and had to be shaved down at intake but his coat is coming in beautifully. He is housebroken and will let you know when he has to go out. Harvey has no interest in playing ball or fetch; he'll just sit and watch his foster siblings run around. He can sit, lie down and shake hands.
He also, has a ninja like way of stealing food and paper products to eat. So, his new family will have to be careful about leaving these things out for him to steal. He doesn't seem interested in eating toilet paper off the roll (thankfully!) but paper towels and tissue seem to be a tasty delight to him. He likes to greet cats with enthusiasm but soon after ignores them.
He doesn’t share well with others but getting a chew bone in the evening when everybody's pretty much done for the night seems to be working well.
He is good for bathing and grooming but, needs a little patience when trimming legs.
Harvey would be a great member of a quiet family or couple. As he was a stray he will need a secure fenced in yard.
