Smith [Adoptied September 2015] is a sable-colored male approximately 6 years old. He was picked up as a stray in April. When I got Smith to foster, he weighed 39#. Through lots of walks, less food, and no treats, he has lost 9# and still needs to lose more. His adoptive family must be diligent in monitoring his weight. He is quite a foodie. He seems much happier with his new body.
Smith gets along with my cocker, is totally housetrained, walks nicely on a leash, and knows sit, stay, and drop it. He doesn't mind being in his crate, although unnecessary as he has good manners. In his previous life, he must have been trained to stay off furniture. He sleeps in his bed which is next to mine.
I hope you will consider Smith as an addition to your family. He deserves a new life.
Update on 9/4/2015: Smith has lost another pound. He is looking for a home that can take him for lots of walks so he can keep all that weight of of him. Also someone who will not give in into his begging for more food.
