Lucky 192

[adopted 11/26/19] Lucky is very handsome 8-year-old brown and white parti colored boy that was dropped off at Chicago Animal Control because his owners could no longer take care of him. And “lucky” for him!

He was loaded with fleas, badly matted and had burrs attached to his back end. He was taken for a grooming and a flea bath and what a good looking boy he became! He’s field coated so will not require a lot of grooming.

Lucky is a happy fellow that loves being with his people. He does have separation anxiety and becomes anxious if he’s crated or closed off in a room. I soon discovered that he is house trained so there has been no need to crate him or close him off and the situation has greatly improved.

He can be an escape artist so it’s best to let him out when someone is home and he can see them. He also has tried to squeeze past me when I’m going out to/and coming in from the garage, but a water spray bottle has been a very effective deterrent.

In the short time Lucky has been in rescue, he has greatly improved. TLC goes a long way with him. This fellow just wants to be loved and will love you in return. He needs a home with previous dog experience that is willing to work with him and would love to have at least one canine companion. The best is yet to come!
