Archie [ADOPTED APRIL 23] came to us from an Illinois shelter where he was picked up as a stray. He is estimated to be about ten months old. He was filthy and very thin. Initially we thought he was a Cocker but when he was cleaned up we realized he could be a Cockapoo. He is a bundle of energy and has a wonderful temperament. At this point he is really a blank slate as it looks like his previous owner did nothing but let him run the streets. He is a very nice puppy and with a little work, he will make someone a wonderful pet.

Update from Archie's Foster Home: Archie is adjusting well. We find him to be a very smart dog and an easy learner. He is doing well with housetraining and also getting comfortable with his crate. He gets along very well with our dogs and loves playing with them, but is also able to entertain himself. He throws stuffed toys around and pounces on them to play by himself and is quite comical to watch. He loves to be around people and is very friendly. Everyone who meets him finds him to be a very nice dog. We are working on getting him to sit on command and are having some success. He's inquisitive and does like to jump up to find things. He will make a wonderful addition for some lucky family.
