Flash [ADOPTED AUGUST 12] is a ten-year-old male who came to us from a shelter where he came in as a stray. We were able to trace him through his microchip and found him to be Cocker royalty. It was hard to believe that this handsome boy would ever end up in an animal shelter. We contacted his breeder in Saskatchewan Canada. She was more than willing to take him back but it really didn't seem practical to travel all that distance. It was decided that Shorewood would keep him and find an appropriate home. Unfortunately he was terribly matted when he came to the shelter and had to be shaved down. It will be a while before Flash will again look like the show dog he once was. He has a fantastic pedigree with 20 champions in 4 generations. We did neuter him and he had to have a couple of teeth pulled but he is healthy and ready for his forever home. Flash is housetrained and crate trained and is good with everyone both animal and human.
