Maggie [ADOPTED JULY 19] is a 4-year-old female who came to us as an owner surrender. Her family was moving and they could not take Maggie with. Maggie is a sweet little girl who is a bit shy when first meeting new people. According to her family once Maggie was housetrained she never had an accident and also never chewed anything up. They had a toddler who she readily accepted. She has been good with other dogs the short time she has been in rescue. Maggie likes to be near her people but is not a cuddler. More as we get to know her better.
Update from Maggie's Foster Mom: Maggie is doing very well adjusting to our hectic household. She seems to have slipped right into our routine and does not complain. She loves the freedom of the fenced in yard and gets along with her other dog friends. She is trying to be the “queen”, however, our other female cocker won’t let that position go just yet. She is very good in the house and will let you know if she has to go out. She now sleeps in a crate at night and does not seem to mind that. Last night when her food bowl was empty, she sat near the food bucket and barked until we figured out she wanted to eat. She likes to be a shadow and will lay quietly wherever you are. She loves to be around people. Maggie is generating interest in our neighborhood. We've had a few people stop by the fence to inquire about her. She will make a great pet for someone.
