Winnie [ADOPTED NOVEMBER 12] is a 2 to 2 1/2 year old, black and tan female who came to rescue after being picked up as a stray. When she came to us, she was 6 pounds underweight, was in heat and on top of that was very ill. Fortunately, she has responded well to care and medicine, has had her surgery (spay) and has re-gained about 5 pounds. She is a very sweet, active, petite Cocker who loves her walks and likes to sit in your lap. She is not at all happy when put in a crate so she has been allowed to sleep outside of it. Initially, she was not housetrained but now is doing very well with only an occasional accident in the house. Winnie gets along well with the female Cocker in her foster home, but does not like male dogs. Winnie would probably be best placed as an only dog as she does love attention and does not like other dogs around her toys.
