In Loving Memory of Arnold061

This wonderful boy is Arnold061. Arnold came to rescue in December of 2006 and died in rescue June 6th of 2007. His original Adoptable's Bio with his story follows. Then more of his story.

Arnold's Adoptable's Bio:

It seems every holiday season, a dog comes into rescue who has been abandoned. That is the case with Arnold. It is believed that he was dumped by the side of the road. A Good Samaritan took him in and tried to find his family. No one was ever located. The new family could not keep him because they already had several pets of their own. They knew that Arnold would have very little chance in an animal shelter so they contacted rescue. Arnold is in what is commonly called his golden years. That certainly seems a misnomer considering he found himself homeless and left to starve. He is a wonderful sweet dog who is totally housetrained and does well with other animals. The family who found him had children and he did well with them. He recently had a dental and was neutered. We are treating Arnold for eye infections and there is a good chance that he will need eye drops the rest of his life.

The rest of Arnold's story:

Shortly after Arnold arrived, he had a blood panel completed and it was determined that Arnold was in the early stages of renal failure. With this diagnosis, we knew that it was just a matter of time for Arnold and he was removed from the Available for Adoption page. His foster mom saw to it that he had the best care possible and loved this sweet boy. She made sure that his final months were probably some of the best that he ever knew and she was there with him when he left for rainbow bridge.
