Crossed over the Rainbow Bridge 9/19/2014

We would take daily walks that he loved and he enjoyed going for rides in the car. Oh treats, he loved his treats, that was a reason for liking car rides, get a treat(s) at the bank, the tellers loved him. Over the last 2 years walks got fewer and shorter. He lost his hearing and got cataracts, age was taking a toll but he enjoyed short walks and taking naps near me while I was on the computer.  In August the vet had to amputate a toe on his right hind leg and he was doing very well.  The biopsy came back cancer but the vet felt he got all the tissue and did not see any other signs of trouble. .  Then in September, he  started to decline very rapidly. Now he is in peace and comfort..  Miss you my Buckles, my buddy, my baby.

Buckles [ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 24] is a 6 year old male who is neutered, current on vaccinations, and heartworm negative. Buckles heels nicely on your left side when walking and is very obedient. Buckles loves his foster mom greatly because she has set up boundries for him. Buckles will need to go to a home who promises to set boundries for him and will make sure he knows that he is not the one in charge. Buckles is looking for a home where he will be much loved and will be able to go for many long walks. Buckles is a wonderful dog.
