Passed over the Rainbow Bridge 7/30/18
It is with a sad heart that I tell you I had to help Janie over to the
Rainbow Bridge, Mon. 7/30. She was adopted from SCR in 2010.
She was a puppymill dog. It took her along time for her to trust
anyone. She will be missed.
Janie [ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 4] is a beautiful, 3 year-old female that came to Shorewood from a commercial breeder in western Wisconsin. Janie has come a long way but is still a very timid girl, and will require a home that will be very patient and understanding with her. Janie's foster mom has worked tirelessly with her, however Janie still does not feel comfortable taking treats from your hand, prefers to drink her water outside, and prefers to eat her food in a room seperate from the other dogs.
Janie would be happiest in a home with at least one other outgoing dog to feel more secure & also follow his or her lead. She gets along well with her foster siblings and loves to be outside chasing the birds and squirrels. Janie is house trained and walks well on a leash.
Because of Janie's shyness we will REQUIRE a securely fenced in yard for her made of vinyl, wood, or chain link construction. Homes that do not meet this requirement will not be considered.
