I am sad to say Lizzie was put to rest today. She had been going downhill for some time and yesterday when I came back after a few days out of town, she had swelled up and was very lethargic. I had an ultrasound done and she had cancer in her liver, intestine, spleen and stomach. The vet said it was a very fast growing cancer and could double in size over a short time. When I left her out in the yard this morning, she went behind a bench in my yard and wouldn't come out without coaxing. She always seemed so sad and I know she really missed her original owner and her rides in the truck. I am having her cremated and sending the ashes to her original owner so she can again ride in the truck. She will be missed.
