Passed over the Rainbow Bridge 10/22/2012
It is with a very heavy heart that I am writing to say we had to help Nina (Nina 081) cross the Rainbow Bridge today. She was diagnosed with oral cancer 7 months ago. We were told it was very aggressive and fast growing and they were right. Only in the past few weeks did we see any signs that she was slowing down. She just accepted it and went on being my little shadow. She was the sweetest girl and just loved everybody. We are going to miss her so much and cannot thank you enough for letting us share the past 4 years with her.
Nina [ADOPTED JUNE 8] is a 9-year-old female who is an outstanding representative of her breed. She is an AKC champion as well as a UKC champion. In addition, she has a obedience CD from both the AKC and UKC. Our little Nina did not stop there, she also received The Total Dog award given to those dogs who both win in confirmation and obedience at the same show. Nina came to us because of some issues which forced her breeder to give her up. We know this was a really a difficult decision and we at Shorewood are honored that we were chosen to find a forever home for this elegant lady.
Nina is crate trained and although she will need some work on housetraining, she has been taught to relieve herself on command so the rest will be really easy.
