Passed over the Rainbow Bridge 10/13/2012

I adopted Princess on Good Friday (the 13th) in 2001.  We had 11 wonderful years together.  Due to recent health problems, Princess died in my arms today.  I am missing her so much....but we were together until the end.

Princess01 [ADOPTED, APRIL (FRIDAY THE 13TH, WHAT A GOOD LUCK CHARM FOR PRINCESS] is a two year old, red Cocker who was surrendered along with her litter mate, Pookie. She has been spayed, microchipped, tested for heartworm and updated on her shots. We are presently evaluating her housetraining trustworthiness. We have decided against placing the littermates together as Princess totally dominates Pookie. She will not let him have any toys or other treasures. He seems to accept that he can not have any of the treasures so always surrenders all the toys to her. This was something that was very likely established in puppihood, which is a necessary part of being a part of a pack, but it isn't in Pookie's best interest to be so dominated. Because she is not good with other dogs, I will not place her in a home with young children. Princess is not at all dominant with humans and is friendly, loving and very sweet. She knows that she is not the boss of people. Princess has a medium energy level and loves to play. She is a field coated Cocker and is good for grooming
