Passed over the Rainbows Bridge July 1, 2017

Gilbert (formerly Sunny) was our joy and faithful companion from his adoption day at age 5 years, on October 17, 2009, until we said our last goodbye on July 1, 2017. He made us laugh so many times with his antics. Our “little mountain goat” could do a vertical leap of 3 feet to the back of the couch, run through the yard so fast, and then settle down to cuddle with us and be perfectly content. He went everywhere with us, and we miss him so. Thank you Shorewood Cocker Rescue for giving us the best friend we have ever known. He was diagnosed with inoperable cancer on 7/6/16, but thanks to excellent doctors and good ole home cookin’, we were all able to spend almost another whole year of happy days together.

Sunny [ADOPTED OCTOBER 16] is a 5-year-old male who was found tied to a post in the inner city. Although he had a microchip animal control could not reach his owner. He has a wonderful temperament and seems to just like everyone. He is crate trained and appears to be housetrained. More as we get to know him.
